Health Care Guideline for individuals with Down syndrome it is an official document, released from European Down Syndrome Association, written by an international team experts about Down syndrome, leaded from Professor Alberto Rasore-Quartino.
This guideline it is translated and published from Down Syndrome Albania Foundation authorized by EDSA. This edition can’t be republished or spread in any other form or way (electronically, mechanically, copied or any other way) without the approval of Down Syndrome Albania Foundation.

"The care, education and development of children with Down Syndrome”- this guideline it is helpful tool for all the caregivers, educators and psychologists who work in nurseries and kindergarten.
The main goal of this guideline is informing the operators in nurseries and kindergarten about the rights of the children with Down syndrome for an inclusive education, to inform them about the development specifics of the children with Down Syndrome, to guide the educators and psychologist in their daily work with children with Down syndrome.

Next to Down Syndrome Albania Foundation, parents and all interested can receive Legal Consultation regarding the rights of education for children with Down syndrome within the Inclusive Education.
Individual Education Plan (IEP), it is a plan compiled for pupils with disabilities. This plan describes individual objectives that the child should reach within a period. To receive an appropriate IEP, firstly it should be done an evaluation from a Multidisciplinary Commission.
Down Syndrome Albania Foundation is ready to cooperate with educational institutions to revise and to suggest the specifics of Down syndrome, in order to compile the appropriate IEP for children with this syndrome.
